There are over 300 thumbnailed pictures of this event, please be
patient while they load.
Hearse Con was a huge success as we enjoyed 3 days of activities and lots of good natured debauchery.
There was also a wedding at the car show this year, many pictures of this first
time occurrence below!
Hearse Con WILL be back next year, so
start planning to be there now!

WARNING! This gallery depicts modified hearses, morbid displays and women with a
lack of modest clothing and nice posteriors. If you are the sort of funeral car
collector that takes offense at such things, it is recommended that you do not
even look at this page. On a personal note, there are many surgical procedures that are
minimally invasive that may aid in the removal of various sticks, hairs and or bugs
that might be up your ass, causing your failure to enjoy such fine things.
Additionally, once you do get the stick and/or bugs removed, there is currently
a wide variety of products both pharmaceutical and herbal in nature to aid you
in being able maintain a healthy level of enjoyment of such photos, if you know
what I mean.

Day 2 - The Decay and Shine Car Show / Harold and Maude viewing
Ironic
story time... part of why I started HearseCon was that I wanted to get an
overhead shot from a roof top of all the hearses in the Hearseclub.com crew.
My idea was to call everyone in the club and tell them to show up at the local
tattoo shop for the shoot. I then realized that it would help people make up
their minds to come if I offered food, so we decided to bring a grill.
From
there it occurred to me that if I wanted people to stay I should have music,
so I called a few bands. Then I realized that crap, if I am making this big of
a deal maybe I should do it on the weekend and put some events the day before
and the day after the event, just so it looks bigger and maybe some people
from out of town would show up. I sent out some invites on Myspace and my
thinking was that maybe people would show up, and maybe they wouldn't, I
wasn't going to worry about it too much, I just wanted that one picture from
the roof. Amazingly people from out of town DID show up and we had more
hearses at a Hearseclub.com event than ever before!
Now,
with all the excitement of an event that I had not expected to succeed
actually going real well I had a real blast, we took hundreds of pictures, had
a great time, partied all night, etc...guess what one thing I DIDN'T DO!? Take
that damned picture! Oh well, I consoled myself with the fact that NEXT year I
would have an opportunity to take it.
The
next year went even better than the first, we had 10 more hearses there than
the previous year, we had coverage in 3 local news stations (one report which
went syndicated and showed up nationwide) as well as 3 local papers covering
the event. All in all, I personally took over 2,500 pictures of the event.
Guess what ONE SINGLE PICTURE I didn't take? That's right, my damned roof
shot.
I
am pleased to announce that in 2009, I finally remembered to get to the roof
and take my picture that was the whole reason I started this event to begin
with!
