This year for Halloween we decided to do things a BIT differently and hosted a
Resident Evil themed party. Hearse House was redecorated to resemble the
underground research facility, the Hive from the movie/games and partygoers were
encouraged to come dressed as characters from the movies.
Alexi parked outside of Hearse House. Fun fact, Alexi is actually named
after the underground train featured in the first Resident Evil movie that has
the words "Alexi 5000" printed on the engine!
Caution
tape
The
front entrance modified to look like heavy duty underground blast style doors.
The red light above the doors is actually a radioactivity leak warning light
from a decommissioned nuclear weapons plant called Rocky Flats. The light was
purchased at an auction locally.
I
found these grates the day of the party when I constructed the entrance doors
T-Virus

of the walls created to look like research facilities
The
sticker on the front of the top unit reads "Unclassified Government
Equipment" and I have NO CLUE where this console came from.
Ok...so
I spent a long ass time creating Umbrella Corporation logos to stick on
everything at the party to make it more realistic. For those of you who have
not seen the movies or games, Umbrella is the evil corporation responsible for
the zombie outbreaks. Well I made an ASSTON of Umbrella stuff, a coffee table,
a snack platter, a folding chair, pressurized gas cannisters...then about
halfway through the night someone goes "Hey...doesn't the Umbrella logo
have 8 blades and not 6?" to which I responded by looking at MY logos and
going "SHIT!"
Basically I had decorated a whole lot of crap in my house incorrectly with a 6
bladed logo. Oh well, if I was lacking continuity I was at least lacking it on
a colossal scale.
